Liverpool loses again in Champions League; AC Milan, Real Madrid win (AP)

Liverpool extended its winless streak in this season’s Champions League, losing at Besiktas 2-1 Wednesday and hurting its chances of advancing. The five-time champions are last in Group A with one point from three games. “It is the worst possible result,” said Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who helped the team win the title in 2005 and reach the final last season.
